Training with Rich was life-changing. I’ve always had trouble staying on a diet plan in the past. Rich was so good at listening to my concerns and integrating a nutrition plan that complemented my lifestyle perfectly. I started losing weight right away which kept me motivated on being consistent. I am so happy to say that now I am down over 60 pounds. His workouts are always fun and I love how he incorporates innovative exercises to his workouts. Now because of Covid and my busy work schedule I train with Rich virtually. It is so convenient and keeps me from missing any of my workouts. For me the accountability with my diet and not missing workouts has been key.

I’m a relatively fit professional and I have been working with personal trainers off-and-on for about 20 years.  I’ve had sports-related injuries, including 3 shoulder (rotator cuff) surgeries and a persistent nagging patellar tendinitis.  When I turned 60, the shoulder injury became so limiting that I told myself “my weight-lifting days are over” – particularly heavy strength / resistance training -- and I resigned myself to cardio-only workouts. My trainer at the time wisely and selflessly referred me to Rich, describing him as a “shoulder expert”.

 

Rich – undaunted – immediately confronted my pessimism and self-pity head on.  Using a combination of progressive rehab type exercises, repetitive postural corrections, and soft-tissue manipulation I can happily say that I have negligible shoulder pain or dysfunction and am back to a regular, rigorous full body resistance training routine.  There is no doubt in my mind that I would not have achieved this without Rich’s guidance and unfailing encouragement.

 

Rich has a well-grounded deep understanding of biomechanics.  Rich knew that we would not be able to work through the injuries without incorporating some intensive soft tissue work – and he is UNIQUE among personal trainers in this respect.  Rich is a genius at modifying exercise / movement technique to accommodate injuries during the recovery phase.  My debt of gratitude is massive.  Rich is an incomparable A+ five-star personal trainer and a hell of a nice guy, as well !

My name is Joel Hoffman.  I’m a 60 year old, an Ear, Nose and Throat Physician in Cumming Georgia. I have been training with Rich Parlo for the past 5 years and am honored to share my experience. As a surgeon, I had dealt with posture issues and chronic neck pain for several years.  After my first session with Rich, I knew he would be able to help me tremendously.  He incorporates weight training strengthening exercises with stretching and rolling.  He also has deep knowledge regarding exercise physiology and the work outs are  thought out in a precise manner to optimize results and prevent injury.  Working out on average 3 days per week, I have been able to make huge strides both in my physique but also 

have been injury free without any neck pain.  I also had issues with chronic knee pain which also has been resolved with rolling, stretching and strengthening exercises. 


During a work out with Rich, you will immediately notice he is very focused and attentive to your technique.  He  always comes with a positive attitude and is very helpful handing you the weights, spotting and setting up the next exercise.  The work out is completely tailored to the client and the hour seems to fly by.  Rich is also a great conversationalist which adds to the overall experience.  


Rich  is incredibly knowledgeable in regards to diet/nutrition. He encourages communication on off days to keep you on the program in order to achieve your goals in a timely manner.  


In conclusion, I highly recommend Rich Parlo without any reservation.  Give him a chance and  you will be on your way to getting in the best shape of your life!!

I started working out in my 30's with a friend who introduced me to exercise and really motivated me to start. I was always consistent until later in life my husband became very ill with Parkinson’s disease. During his sickness I had to work and take care of him so I really let my exercise routine go. Because of the stress of the situation I became really depressed and realize I had to start taking care of myself. As soon as I got back on my workout regimen, my stress, anxiety and depression almost literally went right away… I then realized that exercise is not an option for me it is an essential. Being a little intimidated by walking into the gym and not knowing how to use equipment I decided it would be best to hire a personal trainer. I now have been training with Rich virtually for over a year. I love working out in Rich’s online group classes because working out with others really motivates me to push myself. I also work out with Rich 1 on 1 virtually to address a nagging hip injury. After going to countless doctors and physical therapist I am happy to say because of Riches corrective exercise program and emphasis on rolling and stretching I have no hip pain. I love training with Rich online because even when I go on vacation I never have to miss my workouts!

My husband sees Rich Parlo as the best trainer he's ever had, I have friends who see him as their amazing nutritionalist who helps them reach their weight goals, but for me he is my "Miracle Worker"!

8 years ago I started having medical issues, constant infection, which resulted in constant antibiotics. I started seeing my General Practitioner with no results, then Specialists with no results and finally the best specialists money could buy. We spent tens of thousands trying to find a cure. My condition not only worsened, my quality of life was severely diminished with no hope in sight. I was diagnosed with an incurable auto immune disease, and told my last option was surgery which only had a 50/50 chance of helping or making it worse forever. The week before my surgery I saw Rich briefly as he was training my husband. In casual conversation, the surgery came up. He asked if I'd be willing to postpone my surgery, and give him a chance at healing me using nutrition, organic supplements and detoxification. I had absolutely nothing left to lose, because by this point the Dr's were already advising me that I would never have a "normal life" again, ( work would be difficult, working out impossible, and I could look forward to increased pain and fatigue)  so I agreed. If it didn't work I could always reschedule the surgery, right?

Best decision I have EVER made. Needless to say, I have had no surgery, and I already have a normal life again. All this in just 4 months! After all the Doctors, and money spent, and independent research I did, I never truly understood my condition or the cause of it. Rich helped me understand my body starting with the Digestive system and pointed me in the right direction on how to fix it, and with that knowledge I am here today.  Healthier, much Happier, and so much Wiser. He has completely changed my attitude on health and wellness. The result is a So Much Better ME!

I have always been physically active, and managed to maintain a healthy way until my mid 40s. My weight would fluctuate up or down 10 pounds. After knee surgery, I gained a little over 20 pounds, and did very little exercise. I tried getting back into a healthy lifestyle, but was not having much success doing it on my own. I met Rich in January 2019, when I was at my all-time heaviest weight. I started training with him two days a week, and getting educated on healthier eating habits. By March of that year, I was down 25 pounds, and looked better than I had in decades! I know I could’ve never achieve this without riches knowledge and passion for getting his clients their healthiest. He also work with my daughter, who has a much different personality than mine, and within a very short amount of time, had her looking like she had trained for years! Through his healthy diet tips, she had more energy, and felt better than ever. I love the way he connects to his clients, and can adjust to different personalities and physical abilities in order to get them to their optimal fitness level. He pushes you to do your best, while encouraging you and building you up. It is actually the first time I have looked forward to working out. I have had other trainers in the past, but none have had the knowledge and personal skills that Rich has!
